Shaikh Habeeb Alli was born in Enmore, Guyana and is of Indian Muslim heritage. He grew up in Guyana during his formative years and then pursued his graduate studies in India . He returned to Guyana after completing a Masters in Islam and Arabic Language along with a diploma in Journalism. He immigrated to Canada five years ago, presently resides in Toronto with his family and works at the North American Muslim Foundation as a Communications Coordinator.He has taught within the Arabic Ontario Curriculum and is an Executive writer for the Ambition Newspaper in Toronto . He has authored eleven books on Islam and poetry. Since arriving in Canada , he has studied world religions and new age happiness and has been actively writing fiction and non-fiction essays that are both thoughtful and informative. His latest book, Happiness: Naked Truths, an Inter-Spirituality Odyssey, focuses on love, sex, travel, work, honesty, charity, and care.In addition, Imam Alli has published numerous articles and has been a guest lecturer at many conferences. He is often invited in the media to speak on Islam and contemporary issues within the Canadian context. Habeeb Alli is a member of the Canadian Council of Muslim Theologians, Secretary of the Canadian Council of Imams, Governor at the Canadian International Peace Project, an Executive at the Canadian Guyanese Writers Association, a member of the Interfaith Social Assistance Reform Coalition, a Chaplain, and founding member and Sharia advisor for the Islamic Finance UM group in Toronto.

Habeeb from Enmore Guyana, also known as Rafarz Alli, has written several works on poetry as well as spiritual journeys. Having studied at Queens College in Georgetown and in India, he has recently moved to Toronto as a World Religion Educator. Habeeb was born in 1969 and regards the Word as the most sacred link between God and humanity and must be maximized and articulated to get the best between humanity. As an Editor of a newspaper he sees this as the tool to the mind and heart both.
